Casa Maria - Tisch reservieren

Had lunch at this restaurant last week with friends. The restaurant has a very smart interior and friendly staff who speak a little English. Being English, we arrived a little earlier than the normal Spanish lunch time trade, but by the time we left there were a number of tables occupied by well dessed Spaniards, probably local office workers. In the current economic climate, we thought that they were doing a pretty reasonable trade for mid-week. They do an excellent Menu del Dia for 12€. A really nice salad and two very nicely cooked and presented plates of food, in good portions. Followed by a good choice of postres and, of course, wine and water incuded. All in all, we thought this was a very good value restaurant and will be returning.

My cousin came and stayed for a few days, and she wanted to have a thank you meal with us. I had never been to Casa Maria before, and we never booked a table. We just took a chance that the restaurant was not fully booked; as it was a midweek evening. We need not have worried. We went into a very well fitted out restaurant, with pleasant décor, but we were the only people in this quite large space. The service was excellent as we were the only people there. The food was to a high standard, and the steaks were succulent, and cooked to perfection. All in all a very nice evening, but the atmosphere was devoid of the sound of people having a good time, and enjoying themselves, which I think enhances the pleasure of a good meal, and enjoyment.

Decir que todo está bueniiisimo es decir poco. Fuimos sin reserva y fue algo arriesgado porque siempre está lleno. Aconsejo llamar. Desde el primer momento el trato fue familiar y acogedor a pesar de ir sin reserva. El local es acogedor y cómodo. La comida es una carta corta con comida tradicional asturiana muy muy rica. Pedimos fabes y pote, de primero. Cada cual mejor y más rico. De los típicos que te ponen la fuente para que te canses. De Segundo pedimos filetes de cadera. Muy jugosos y en su punto y muy rico el toque de ajo. Y el postre… arroz con leche casero, muy rico y sabroso. El precio súper asequible y económico para lo que ingerimos. Muy recomendable y con ganas de volver. Gracias por todo,

Menu del Dia 12.10€. We were inside with one other table, although the tables outside were fully booked, the service was very poor. Not much choice, salad pretty basis. First course had ensalada rusa which was the most tasteless plate I have ever been given and my wife agreed, a friend had fried eggs with sauce and the egg was raw. They put it in the microwave. Main course was not much better, over cooked meat and cold veg. Had coffee instead of dessert, charged for the wine, 9€ instead of 4 pre-lunch beers. Won't be rushing back which is a shame as a previous visit was good.

Trato muy amable , comida muy bien preparada y como buen asturiano mucha cantidad
