This place is 1970 's Spain at 2020 prices(and more !Taking minilimism to new heights the opening starter of 4 thumb sized chistorra sausges came with .............. a small plate, no bread , no nothing. Then the 4 medallions of morcilla de burgos came with a slightly larger plate and a red pepper plonked in the middle.After a 45 minute wait the solomillo(sirloin steaks arrived with burnt ¨pommes frites and a tablespoon of stewed vegetables, obviously presentation is not their thing.In fairness, the steak was ok after I had to send it back to convert it from running around the paddock to medium but at 25 € plus 3€ for the privilege of having a sauce, the damage was done. Casa Navarra pretends to be something different, in reality ,it is a basic roadside eatery that is completely overpriced.

Its meat, meat and more meat, no finesse, no nada actually. Whilst it was good 40 years ago, sadly the owners did not move with the times but rather decided to buy more and more weird and wonderful Spanish kitch and furnish the restaurant accordingly. That it even manages to remain open is a miracle in its self as the quality of the so called Navarran meat leaves a lot to be desired. The decor is the only thing actually worth the visit, especially if you can get to sit at the round table next to the open fire place in the rocking chairs.

family of nine from Ireland visited here yesterday......easy to get too, just a short trip from the coast. On a hot day it was perfect to sit outside in the shade. Waiter was brilliant looking after us from start to finish, spoke good english and explained the menu easily. If you want burgers and chicken nuggets go elsewhere, this is steak, fish and wine heaven. We sat for three hours and had a flavour experience like no other. Yumyum

Wow, these were the best steaks that we have hod in a long time, but the menu is quite limited (stick to what you are good at? and quite pricey, so not an everyday event. It seems that many locals go here, so that is a good sign.

If you want to dine in very Spanish ambiance, this is the place to go. staff does speak reasonably English, which makes it a fine place to visit if your Spanish is rusty. Meat is the preferred meal to order.
