of this restaurant I have the memory of the beautiful room where we were housed. really beautiful, all for us and very particular in the decor. As for food. I was disappointed but this I think depends so much on the culinary delights of us Italians! In this restaurant, there is an insistent tendency to mix Engadin dishes or we say traditional dishes with something ethnic/eastern, with results not properly adjusted! The main dish I took for example was a very good beef cut, cooked very well, roasted with the sesame. on a bed of soy sauce (!) and a contour of two spring rolls to Cantonese(!!!!). For the price I paid a real insult! ! Even the other people who were with me found nothing extraordinary except the account on which better to lay a pitiful veil!
the jugenstilsaal des castells offers a beautiful frame for dinner in the hotel. you should take the menu, because the price is relatiw cheaply recommended, however the 4-course menu is really extensive, and you should consider several appetizers instead of choosing the main dish. many of the guests uas the hotel take the food in this restaurant, which is good that you don't have to fix everything before, so you can actually decide spontaneously whether you want to take a big meal after a sporting day.
in comparison to other restaurants in engadin, the restaurant in the hotel has a pretty bad price/performance ratio. main foods with trips over 60 chf have a quality of about 35 chf. on the wine card there are no wee under 50 chf and that with weeping from the euro area. the service in the evening was not attentive. short: easy too expensive for the required performance.
the beautiful hotel and the great location can not be comforted completely over the in needy and overpriced foods. in greybels, many locals compete around the "best bündner gerstensuppe"; the castell has to settle in the queue of the competitor, unfortunately, at the back.
