Castle Inn Castle Bytham

This a real pub with lots of people drinking in the bar, small dogs running around and a general atmosphere of the old village pub. And this was a Tuesday night.We were a party of eight old fellows so we had a table in the tastefully furnished dining room. You can eat in the bar but the alternative is the dining room. The dining room is done out in Masonic Regalia which makes it rather different and quite special. We were looked after by a delightful young lady who found no difficulty coping with 8 old gents. The food was excellent. Will and Sue who run the pub say they are a pub serving good food and so it is. The food is good and not expensive, I I do not know who looks after the beer but it is well chosen and in perfect condition.

Didn’t stop for food although the venue has an excellent reputation, Even though weekday lunchtime visit, warm welcome into what I’d call a comfy pub. Excellent range of beers lagers and ciders. I tried a pint of the hoppyWhite Rat which was exceptional. Going to pop back for some grub soon….

I have to be honest. I'm not really a fan of having a Sunday roast out. They more often than not disappoint. This, however, was the best I have had in many years and we'll definitely be back. From the succulent meat to the home-made gravy, it was all delicious. All four of us said the same.
