I've been studying individually with Cathy for a few years. Cathy is an amazing trainer and person, with many years of experience as trainer and performer. What was very helpful to me to intensify certain areas and increase confidence was Cathy's multifaceted approach to teaching. Sometimes there are certain words or images that immensely contribute to understanding a concept or an inner feeling when you sing correctly. Cathy has a variety of words and images to convey these important ideas. Cathy is a caring, patient and attentive trainer who creates a safe, fun and grounded space for creation. I recommend Cathy as a vowel trainer.

I met her in Japan a few years ago. Not only as the best jazz singer, but she also impressed and motivated me with her excellent leadership and coaching about music. I moved to LA and took her lessons and workshops countless. She is very tolerant and supportive for every student and leads her to the fearless wonderful moment of wonderful music with her deep knowledge and experience. She is a great musician, teacher and mentor who I can recommend to all jazz singers.

I adore working with Cathy Segal Garcia. Her lessons are extremely thorough, specific informative in regards to how the human voice works. Cathy’s gentle, calm always encouraging. She’s extremely tuned into an individual’s vocal strengths weaknesses. She immediately hears if your vocalizing in a way that hurts your voice gently guides you back to singing effortlessly.
