Cave Des Silenes

A great place to stop for a light lunch and taste the wines of well regarded estate Charles Joguet. We enjoyed a private tasting in English before enjoying a selection of charcuterie and cheeses accompanied by a bottle of Les Charles 2014 that was tasting excellent. We've been here several times and always receive a warm welcome. Being open on a Sunday is great too as most wineries are shut and this gives you the chance to taste and have lunch.

we wanted to buy chinon of good quality, discovered the cellar with no recommendation and think we found the right address. The tasting took place in a real old wine cellar and the person who received us without an appointment showed himself very qualified. Sums returned with several cartons of two different quality levels. Good memory,

very pleasant wine bar at the foot of the castle. We took a break in a nice setting around a plate of charcuterie and a bruschetta. tasting very pleasant wines, very good charcuterie board, good bruschetta but a little too loaded with mushrooms to the detriment of the rest of the products. We left with a few bottles of the owner.

zowel de schotels als de bruschetta's zijn heel lekker. De wijntjes kan je vooraf proeven en uitkiezen. Je kan ook apart alles proeven. Heel gezellig. Wij gingen er twee maal eten en proeven.

We stopped by on a rainy weekday afternoon to sample some wines. They offer free tastes! Loved everything and bought four bottles. Great place to sample some Chinon wines.
