Authentic tasting HK style milk tea is hard to find in Brisbane but I think Cha Kee comes close to the real thing. The hot version is a must for traditionalist but on hot summer days, be sure to ask for the cold milk tea served in a glass jar sitting in a bowl of ice. This way of serving the milk tea means the drink is cold but is undiluted (as the melting ice is not going into the tea - which is the common way to serve cold milk tea here in Brissy). As for the food, there are many options here with most the the stir fry rice noodles as out family favorites. The girls (under 5s) love the Hainan Chicken Rice - served with all three condiments and is served boneless on a bed of rice cooked with chicken stock. The congees are also good here as well. Be prepared for large portions, where we often will be able to pack 1/2 of the meal away for lunch the next day. Recently, they have extended more of the western menu and the pork ribs are tender and juicy while the Waygu Burger is tasty. Our only complaint is that they have recently swapped out fresh Hor-Fun (rice noodles) for dried ones (then rehydrated) in their noodle soup. This in my view makes them less tasty. I am not sure if they are consistently doing this or only when they are low on fresh rice noodles.

Went there twice over 2 weekends. The service was excellent. Food was quick to serve. Staffs are friendly and polite. I ordered a duck laksa. The portion is huge but I find it a little too salty for my taste. My husband ordered the chicken bun (entree) and the beef brisket noodle. He just love it and can't have enough on these. On the 30/12, I ordered the seafood xo sauce fried rice and find that the fish was overcooked, it tasted too rubbery for me but otherwise the taste and overall was great. Just need some little bit of here and there attention and everything will be great. We' ll be back again.

The foods offered here resemble the HK style cafe, with drinks like (stocking) milk tea, honey lemon...etc. Flavors are great and authentic. Prices are closer to the dearer end for a standard HK cafe (~$15AUD/dish, $4-5AUD/drink), but definitely one of the better one around south side of Brisbane.

Chicken chow mein, fried rice and beef and cashew. Fresh ingredients cooked really well. This restaurant hasn't long been open and hopefully it will maintain there good quality food at reasonable prices.
