Every time I'm in Humbolt County, I'm going to Chapala. Lunch or dinner, it's always wonderful! I like the ambience, the open ceiling, the high windows, the “Alte Stadt-ness” so close to the promenade along the bay, and best the food is delicious!! I love going on Friday or Saturday night when the tumbleweeds play. There's a big mandolinist, and it's just fun. Sometimes the owner jumps in. It's friendly and a fun meeting place. (And the best margaritas in the city!!
This would be my second time here and it has solid Mexican food! I couldn't stop eating their yummy free tortilla chips before my burrito arrived.
This place is okay, I expected better for the priceI ordered albóndiga soup ($13) and the taste was just okay.
It reminds me of home<3 I got the cocktail shrimp is one of the best I ever tasted! In any case come back here
