I always think that you know the true nature of a business when things go wrong. Because sometimes things do go wrong.Retreating into a "I don't speak English" blank look and ignoring the problem does not help. Pretending to be on the phone does not help. Making people wait with incorrect assessment of how long does not help. After almost an hour from when we ordered, I think we have a problem.Own up, apologise, give me a free glass of house wine and we can all be friends again. Act like it never happened and we have a problem.You really do need to work on your service.
This place was packed, but we were able to get a table without reservation. The food was pretty good but the service was terrible. We had to wait a while before our drinks order was taken. The waitress then kept coming back every 2 mins asking if we were ready to order, and this after repeatedly telling her we needed some more time to decide. The waitress was not fluent in English, which is no excuse for taking down the order incorrectly (I pointed out items from the menu). I would definitely go back again but not to dine in.
Nice restaurant and atmosphere but that's where it stopped for me. The food is lacking true thai flavour. For entree we had the duck spring rolls which you couldn't even taste the duck. Mains Massaman beef meat was tender but lacking flavour and Chicken pad Thai not bad but who serves lemon and not lime with this ruined the meal in my opinion. We have moved from the Central Coast and are yet to find a Thai restaurant that matches Charming Thai restaurant on the coast... Will keep searching.
We go here quite like often. The dishes are very tasty. The girls working as waiters have got the orders wrong on many occasions. The reason being is that they have low level of English. If this happened ones, we would not have written anything. Since this is becoming a regular occurrence, when you order seafood dish and receive chicken; or when we ask for no chili for the kids-but somehow find quiet a few in the dish???It's a well established restaurant after all. Not Macdonald's.
