Chateau D'Audrieu

The Chateau d’Audrieu was a very attractive place to stop and slow down for a while. These places are in a completelydifferent class (both amenities –wise, food‐wise and price‐wise) from the other hotels we stayed at. While expensive, ifyou are willing to forgo air conditioning, and an elevator (luggage is somehow brought up and down stairs by young boysand girls) then this is about as nice a hotel as we could find in its particular area. If it fits you budget, I have no hesitancyin recommending it.

We ate one dinner at the Chateau and it was lovely but can't say it was exceptional in any way. Perhaps because we were seated as a large group of 17 and were hyper aware of being somewhat 'shuffled along' through dinner but way too many wait staff, the ambience just didn't correspond with our experiences in other hotel restaurants while in France. That said, the food was delicious, healthy, well prepared and well presented.

Very elegant dining in this charming chateau hotel. White linen, good glasses and excellent service. Food was delicious and portions not overwhelming. Definitely worth making the trip here for the food alone.

Enjoyed the top flight restaurant while staying at the Chateau, and it was a treat. Extensive wine list, perfect service and delicious well prepared food - fois gras

The menu degustation (tasting) of 5 dishes was superb and we enjoyed our experience in the beautiful dining room.
