"Wow! As a Chinese American who grew up in LA, I know good Chinese food. Since coming here to Germany, I eat Chinese maybe once a year because it is hard to find someplace which is as good as home. Coming to a place called Peking Ente, I did not have high expectations. They blew me away! I have only had a good duck once in Beijing about 15 years ago and since have rarely ordered duck because here, they tend to be deep fried, dry and smelly. I ordered something off menu (a pork, tofu and wood ear dish with bak choi and my husband ordered duck since he does not have the same reservations as I do. I had some of my husband's duck and it was seriously the best I have had since my visit to Beijing. The meat was tender, the skin crisp and none of that old duck smell! It was GREAT! Also, my dish was also amazing! Just tell him you want something more Chinese and he will recommend something off Menu. You can tell that the owners of the restaurant are into quality. All the vegatables were fresh and crisp, the meats were fresh and I am just so happy that our friends took us there. Next time I will definitely order the crispy duck! Now I just wish they would move to Duesseldorf!"

Beeindruckend! Als chinesische Amerikanerin, die in LA aufgewachsen ist, kenne ich gutes chinesisches Essen. Seit ich hierher nach Deutschland komme, esse ich vielleicht einmal im Jahr chinesisch, weil es schwer ist, einen Ort zu finden, der so gut ist wie zu Hause. Als ich an einen Ort namens Peking Ente kam, hatte ich keine großen Erwartungen. Sie haben mich umgehauen! Ich habe vor etwa 15 Jahren nur einmal eine gute Ente in Peking gegessen und seitdem selten Ente bestellt, weil sie hier eher frittiert, trocken und stinkend ist. Ich bestellte etwas von der Speisekarte (ein Gericht aus Schweinefleisch, Tofu und Holzohren mit Bak Choi und mein Mann bestellte Ente, da er nicht die gleichen Vorbehalte hat wie ich. Ich hatte etwas von der Ente meines Mannes und es war wirklich das Beste, was ich je hatte seit meinem Besuch in Peking. Das Fleisch war zart, die Haut knusprig und nichts von diesem alten Entengeruch! Es war GROSSARTIG! Außerdem war mein Gericht auch fantastisch! Sagen Sie ihm einfach, Sie möchten etwas Chinesischeres und er wird Ihnen etwas von der Speisekarte empfehlen. Man merkt, dass die Besitzer des Restaurants auf Qualität achten. Alles Gemüse war frisch und knackig, das Fleisch war frisch und ich bin einfach so glücklich, dass unsere Freunde uns dorthin mitgenommen haben. Beim nächsten Mal bestelle ich auf jeden Fall die knusprige Ente! Jetzt habe ich wünschte nur, sie würden nach Düsseldorf ziehen!
