We had a table of 6 on a Friday night and at 6pm we were the only ones in the restaurant for a while. The restaurant did fill up which was more reassuring by 6:30.Our favourite dishes were the sizzling garlic prawns & fish with ginger & shallots. Such healthy & tasty dishes YUMThe staff were very accomodating of the birthday cake I brought along placing it in the fridge during our meals & they lighting a candle & playing a Happy birthday song over there speaker system which was fun & hilarious at the same time.Decor inside is dated & not the sort of place you would go on a date but we would return with the family because Good Food is why you come back to restaurants right?
It was a special dinner for us on Friday,16th December 2016 because we were celebrating our eldest son's graduation from university,2nd son's birthday and a succesful purchase of a property! It would have been perfect if the set dinner we wanted was available.Unfortunately they were not able to accommodate a replacement dish.But the day was saved by the service of a young man(unfortunately didnt get his name).He went out of his way to provide us with great service and the food is always great there.We have been here a number of times and we will continue to patronise Chinese Garden in the future.It is one of the best in Brisbane.The dishes are competitively priced too.
Today I ate here for dinner with my son. The food was quality. We ordered the House Special fried rice, flaming satay chicken (Which came with a little surprise) and the sizzling Mongolian lamb. These were all tender and flavoursome. The service was great, waiters had convincingly caring faces and provided us water which tasted really nice. Even the toilets were great!! When I went into the toilets, they were clean, hygienic and had soap (Which, sadly, lots of restaurants fail to provide). Overall great experience, would come back and recommend it to all. Thanks Chinese Garden!
Great tasting Chinese food. What a great find. Went on a Saturday night and it was fully booked (good sign). Food was excellent staff were nice. Will defiantly be returning
