The quality of food from previous brunches there seemed to have gotten lesser. Prices are up and we get that, but the quality of food at CJ used to be much better. The services at our table was only so so, the salad bar was only partially stocked and available...I mean we get that prices are up but if you are going to charge someone $40 per person, then there should be fresh vegetables on the bar, and the chicken shouldn't be warmed up from the night before, and the muffins should acutually be toasted ...lots of small things like that along with the quality of the food itself just made it less than stellar. It wasn't a horrible experience or anything, and we certainly ate our meal and celebrated our guest of honor...but it was less than we are accustomed to at CJ....we've always been big fans
Service has always been excellent, the food on the other hand I’ll just say this I’ve had a better 2am steak at dennys. Ordered a 12 oz prime ribeye by far the worst steak I’ve ever had, how can you ruin a ribeye and for $55 steak only, take my word stay away from the steaks totally not worth it. Didn’t taste like any ribeye I’ve ever had as if it had been in the freezer since the pandemic started and some weird liver type after taste. My wife had the steak and shrimp plate said hers was bland and tough. Not what it use to be but you can always find a table and the service is the only reason for me giving them 3 stars. We didn’t complain because our server was so good and they don’t cook the food anyway just thought we’d share to save someone the disappointment.
Mimosa had more juice than alcohol. Father’s Day Buffet cost was too much. Omelet was good. Not enough desserts. Hardly anything in the salad bar. Would return for regular menu.
Salad bar was terrible. Only lettuce and melon. No additional things for salad. Most of the food was cold, maybe burners went out. Pretty disappointed.
