Commonwealth Coffeehouse Bakery Hemisfair

Beautiful historical house conversion in the heart of San Antonio. Easy to reach, but not much parking. In front of the building there are some 30 minutes parallel places, but a longer term parking is located in a paid garage next door. The ambience is very welcoming with open kitchen space and seating in front, back and inside. Your coffee was delicious with some unique flavor combinations- I got a spiced caramel white chocolate ice mocha latte at 1/2 sweet and it was delicious!! The quiche Lorraine was OK. The crust was not light and fluffy l, and the cheese seemed shredded. On the other hand, the chocolate cinnamon roll was beautiful. Soft in the middle, a good balance of cinnamon and chocolate. Definitely a place worth checking! I'll try some other dishes again.

One of the first things I do when I travel is my going to the coffee shop. I almost decided not to visit CommonWealth because it's a mile away from my hotel and I'm going. But I'm glad I did it! With only 30 minutes walk there before they closed, I came to save with a few minutes. Coming as a place is usually a recipe for terrible service. However, CommonWealth staff was very friendly, welcoming and hospital as they sat me inside and served me a great sandwich and cappuccino. When they went to the end, they asked if I wanted to leave the pastries from the day instead of throwing them out. Everything from the original ambience to food and service were exceptional. I'm back for my daily coffee, the Mile Walk worth every way! Helps to process bakery products;

great breakfast / quick brunch place with pastries, coffee and hearty meals for the morning. I had a breakfast taco with two salsas on the side, which I recommend you to leave both immediately. A taco is more than enough because I ordered almost two because they were paid quite cheaply. They had a Hibiscus tea that I enjoyed and would get back.

Great spot for coffee. Love the vibe in here. They have a nice indoor and outdoor seating. The pastries were really good especially the yummy croissants. I really enjoyed it! They make good coffee as well. They have a nice selection of food too if you?d like something more filling. Highly recommend this place!

You have a great place to enjoy your breakfast and relax at the same time. The outside seats are my favorite. Your choice of food and coffee was good.
