I found myself at this facility with my family after a few days in the area and vehement enjoy the food we eat in every single restaurant (especially those just 20 minutes away in West Yellowstone) with the exception of Connie?s. The woman who sat us was not friendly, but (to be fair) they were super busy so that she was simply overwhelmed by the crowd. Once? we sat at our table, we were immediately visited by our waiter; the service was fine, not great, but good enough given the amount it was. This experience really started to go the hill when we got our food. Two of us ordered the grilled chicken salad, which consisted quite of dry, gum-like chicken, served Atop Limpsalat and relatively tasteless and presumably unfreshed vegetables. The other two members of my party ordered the chili. As proud Texans, we LOVE a limitless absurd amount of spices on our food, so it was not unexpected that the chili tastes a little different than what we are used to. This regional difference could also explain the high bean-to-meat ratio; but no regional difference could apologise the fact that the chili was served cold with a less-than-mediocre taste. It wasn't even hot enough to melt the cheese. I could never serve ethically the food we received and call me a restaurant. Although we were very disappointed by our food, we had a long day, and did not want to go through the effort to send all 4 of our meals back to the kitchen to be changed / made; we just wanted to leave this restaurant as soon as possible. Some advice for all hungry travellers going through the Island Park area: they are better on their way to the Convenience Store (Robin?s Roost) via the highway and make themselves a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
