We chose this just by walking past it and looking at the menu, not knowing anything about it and hadn't seen it on TA. There were several menus available and the menu del dia seemed to be particularly good value when you saw the price of the meals in the evening, The inside was amazing, with lots of bright artwork and installations inside what used to be a convent. The atmosphere is quite quirky and it was quite fun to look at the various bits of art. The service was excellent and we were served very quickly by friendly staff. We had duck pate and spaghetti to start (although they turned up a different times, which was a bit annoying). For mains we had pork with a lovely onion sauce and a risotto with prawns and spinach. Desserts were excellent, two lovely cheesecake types, with lovely berry sauces. The menu del dia was slightly more expensive than others we'd seen, but the quality came through in the extensive choice and the cooking. It was a great meal and we were very satisfied with what we had.

Looking for somewhere that got away from the universal roast suckling pig and heavy meat dishes found everywhere in Segovia including all the 'big names ', we happened on this unusual place (close to the Plaza Mayor) that was once a convent, a garage and a theatre now redecorated attractively and with humour. The three course lunch on the menu of the day was not only extraordinarily inexpensive (16 euros), but offered a very wide choice including many less heavy and meaty dishes. Starters of tempura vegetables and peppers stuffed with shellfish were good, and mains of stuffed squid in black squid ink sauce and grilled cuttlefish with aioli were good. Not the greatest or most adventurous cooking ever, but well prepared, tasty and attractively presented. The house red wine was local and unusually good for house wine. And everything was delivered with a huge smile.

El servicio es bastante esmerado y la atención muy rápida. El día que fuimos, el restaurante estaba abarrotado de gente, lo cual habla bastante bien de su popularidad, lo cual es comprensible dado lo interesante del lugar en el que se ubica (un antiguo convento reformado y decorado con pinturas contemporáneas) y la calidad de la comida que es bastante buena. Tienen un menú gastronómico a 29.90€ y la oferta de -30% con la reserva online que aplica para los platos de la carta, al final pagamos 40 euros por ambos y quedamos bastante satisfechos.

We booked a table over a holiday weekend. The Covento de Mínimos confirmed. All good. Until it wasn’t. The Convento cancelled our reservation less than an hour before our dinner, leaving us stuck with no backup. On a holiday. Without explanation. Thanks for nothing! Beware of these guys!
