Coochie Island Beach Resort Restaurant

We finally managed to get a babysitter for a couple of nights & thought we would get away. Got to the resort to be told the restaurant was closed (I had emailed prior to ask for a menu with no response), the fish & chip shop closes at 5, & the cafe closed at 3... we ended up having our crackers & cheese as dinner... the kayaks & water bikes were closed for winter... the golf club was closed... it took 90 minutes to walk around the island...In terms of the room itself? Basic. The power was turned on in the unit on our arrival so not sure if we were even expected in the end. Had to wait half an hour for the fridge to cool down & the hot water to heat up for a shower. Bed wasn't bad, but lounge furniture was the can style & very worn & uncomfortable. Like I said -basic.My advise: it is beautiful, but don't bother going in winter, leave it till summer.

I had twice cooked pork with mash and vegetables. It was well cooked with crackle !!! Remember though this is Island Time and not the City. Staff could not do enough even for awkward people.. The main waiter smiled through everything and he worked everywhere.

Never walked away hungry, enjoyed all of our meals. very affordable and well worth the price. We stayed for 2 nights and wouldnt hesitate to go there again. The staff were lovely and accommodate to your taste.

we decided on the steak n mash and chicken schnitzel the food was lovely and the service was good. We went there out of season so very quiet and staff were very attentive

Take your own alcohol I'm not going back ever again We had to go to the shop & get toilet paper No one was at the resort except us We couldn't get wifi TV was good
