Had a terrible experience here. Ordered a Cheeseburger with eggs on the side today and got burger meat and eggs just thrown into a small container together with no bun for the burger. I 'm not the type of person to complain about my food but for $20 with this presentation and not even a bun? I went in and politely ask for a bun and was literally told no. I then had another coworker chime in and tell me that the burger does not come with a bun in which I proceeded to laugh and ask them since when does a burger not come with a bun ? I then had to argue with these two people as well as a THIRD person about me getting a bun for my burger! At this point I was getting very frustrated for what should have been a simple fix and raised my voice stating that I wanted my money back because I wasn 't going to pay $20 for this garbage. It wasn 't until after I visibly became agitated and people were paying attention to the argument that they finally gave in and grabbed my burger bun and they were very rude about it as well saying is this what you want buddy? And then shoving the container into my chest. This is by FAR the worst experience I have EVER had eating at any place and I am infuriated right now. As such this is the first review that I have ever been compelled to write. Also, as a side not I was ordering carry out and I 'm wondering if they were hoping to just slide this by so they could save a couple of dollars. Anyway, I wanted to get this out to people who do bother reading this.
My first time at the Coram Diner and I got the feel of being somewhere in a small country town. Dinners include Soup and salad, main course, veggies, potatoe and dessert (they have Baklava but that's full price). A glass of red or white wine is also included and an appetizer is offered to start....BBQ wings or Spinach Pie. Warm bread in a basket is also served. Everything was really good and they give big portions so lots to take back home for seconds. Jonathan was my waiter so definitely ask for him if you should go. My first choice was broiled Filet of Sole but it was a little over cooked so I ordered it Francaise style and then it was perfect. I had the Strawberry Shortcake, which is one of my favorites, and I loved their version of it. Hard to explain but try it and you'll be pleasantly surprised! Their dinner selection is huge, very reasonably priced, so I'll be back to try something different next time!
I am not a fan of diners. I have been living in Coram for five years. A friend introduced the Coram Diner to me in November 2021 and I was there again in January 2022. The food and service is excellent!! The diner is very clean and that is so important to me. I am looking forward to eating there again. Recommended are the Reuben Sandwich with all its sides and the Grilled Chicken Pannini with roasted red peppers, honey mustard, etc... I recommend the Coram Diner!! GREAT JOB!!
Very disappointed. Ordered the baked clams with spaghetti. The clams were 99% bread crumbs and the few pieces of clam that were eventually found were as hard as rocks. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Only gave it one star it one star
