Picture this. Beautiful summer evening, wonderful wooden terrasse covered in greenery, great atmosphere, friendly service and amazing food. This restaurant is an oasis of peace and gastronomy in the crowded, hot, bustling madness that is the French Riviera in summer. This is not the first time we’ve eaten here and we’ve never been disappointed. Last night we shared the Aperitif plate with gazpacho, zucchini tempura, soubressade on little toasts etc. Followed by Pata Negra pork cooked with teriyaki sauce. A delight. Dessert was a raspberry pavlova and a carpaccio of pineapple (in a brave attempt to try and stick to the diet! . Can’t recommend this restaurant enough and wanted to thank the lively waitress who spent time as a student in Wanaka, South Island New Zealand.
We had a really good lunchtime visit on Friday. Two of us had the fixed price 27E) menu and one chose from the carte. The food on all counts was excellent and included pork ribs or rabbit with a sauce and potatoes and fillet of ling with a creamy sauce and potato ravioli sounds odd but was delicious). Desert included creme brûlée and two choosing citrus cake with sorbet. This restaurant was certainly the one which we would return to over all the other good restaurants we visited this week. We sat on the terrace in peace and enjoyed the surroundings while chatting and satisfying our feeds whims.
Whenever in Vence we always visit this place for delicious authentic French cuisine. Never disappointed by the quality of the dishes and the variety ok the menu, primarily French local products. It’s a homemade kind of cuisine, quality at its best. The owners are super sweet and attentive, and the suspended terrace overlooking the mountain just brings a magical vibe. Wish them many more years of success especially after these hard times.
During our holiday we'd dinner in the restaurant. The food was delicious. The waitress was very nice. The service was very good. Don't forget to visit it! And don't forget to make a reservation in advance!
