Courtyard Cafe, Claiffe Viewing Station

Great views and a lovely walk in sunny weather, which it was on Sunday. It's reasonably level but parking is expensive £5 for 2hours, unless you are a member of the National Trust, when it's free. We came over on the ferry, £1 each way for pedestrians, and walked, after picking up a coffee from the cafe Joey's cafe, Claife Station. The walk is very good and people were friendly on the way. Watch out for the odd car, if you walk on the road and unfortunately there are no benches, so either sit on a cut tree or bring one with you. There are a few parking spaces on the way but not a lot. Good place for a picnic, if you bring supplies. We had a great afternoon.

park them in the ash landing and go from the parking lot. it is a short but sometimes steep walk. the stone steps that lead the last part can become wet and slippery, take care of the way down. many places to sit and relax on the stone bar on the back. beautiful view of the lake, and a beautiful time to rest and take the local look. the car ferry is the best way to reach from the other side of the lake.

more brilliant place to go around and enjoy the intention. I would not disturb climbing up as there is no clearing to get a beautiful view, as the hill is covered with trees. the rest of the hike is brilliant! they can take a £1 ferry that was every 20min of windere, which was a really convenient option. they can walk to foot, take their bike or car on the ferry.

beautiful place to visit, they see the breathtaking view of the windermere lake. the glass border of the windows refined the great look of this sighting station from the 18th century. it is managed by the national trust, there is a caffe near for refreshments.

An easy to reach location if you are not physically impaired with a good view over the lake.
