I came here with my girlfriend for a quick little bite to eat around 6pm on a Monday. Atmosphere is more saloon than restaurant, but don't underestimate their kitchen and menu. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in, to when we left. Clean placefor a saloon restaurant. My girlfriend ordered the meatball slider and sweet potato fries. The meatball slider was incredible.Cooked perfectly, and very fresh tasting. The sweet potato fries were also cooked perfectly, and both items were hot and fresh.I ordered the Texas Red Chili, and a side salad with ranch dressing. The chili was very good, topped with cheese, onion, and aroasted pepper. Delicious. The side salad was basic, but good, with the dressing on the side which is a plus, and it was goodranch dressing. All in all a very good experience, we will be returning!
We came in with our dog to get some dinner. I spoke to the staff very politely and patiently. Once the waitress was extremely rude to us immediately about every step of the way; they prompted us to leave and go elsewhere. Very white-trash staff so thebehavior didn 't exactly surprise me. We decided to go somewhere else. Ned 's right nearby and Crosscut pizza are both muchbetter options for Nederland. Avoid this place and their staff. ??
Guess what, the saloon makes breakfast in the morning. Just keep in mind that there are probably no window in this place so you better be awaken when you there. They breakfast options are pretty standard and this is a welcomed addition since there are notthat many options to eat in the morning.
Interesting spot in Nederland. Old school bar and restaurant. A little rundown but part of the charm? The staff were excellent. We called about the dog friendly patio. Unfortunately, it was closed but they let us bring our pup inside which was a wonderfulsurprise! Food was decent.
