On Sunday the family I enjoyed a delicious meal. The food was well seasoned and nice portions also. Our server Chris, was polite and had superb skills.My concern, the restaurant was so hot! We asked some of the workers was the air condition broken. No one knew or they wouldn't say. We were so glad we had our portable fans! It was not a comfortable situation. Chris was a trooper though. Even though he was sweating profusely, his still smiled gave us his best. We felt so bad for him. His arm was sweating, the back of his shirt was wet he wiped sweat dripping from his beard. He was the only reason we didn't switch to take out. Chris this review is mainly for you! Keep up the good work!
BAD FOOD, WORSE SERVICEWe went on a Saturday afternoon, so the wait was understandably long. Initially, I thought our dismissive waitress was overwhelmed by tables, but nope. She was just a really bad waitress, who delivered cold and undercooked food. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned in a very long time, and two stables were out of toilet paper. Only one sink worked. It was just not a good place to stop, and Cracker Barrels are usually reliable. This one is not. Keep driving! It's Grapevine- there's much better fare up the road.
Good ol country breakfast! Filling up before going to Grapevine Mills next door, we stopped for a hearty breakfast! Country fried steak was tasty and filling! Usually breakfast spots like this have a wait on weekends, but having the general store up front was nice to browse during the short wait for a table. Lots of fun toys, cute decorations, and lots of Christmas and Halloween decorations :
I ordered Catfish, greens and Mac and cheese. The fish was okay, wasn’t fried hard enough for me. Greens and macaroni was good, but they let the green juice get in my macaroni it was very watery. Atmosphere was ok, waiter was very slow to take my carry out order. I personally would try another store in a different area.
