Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

The only good thing about this place was our waitress. I can’t remember her name (black pink hair). She’s awesome needs to find a job somewhere else. My husband ordered a chicken fried steak, loaded baked potato fries. I had the hamburger steak, loaded mashed potatoes fried okra. Let’s start with his plate….his “chicken fried steak” was a frozen patty that was cold. His baked potato was smaller than my hand rock hard. I’m pretty sure the fries were made this morning just left setting out. They were hard as rocks cold as well. Now my plate….the onions on my steak were still raw the patty wasn’t seasoned before being cooked. My mashed potatoes were hard cold. The fried okra wasn’t even done. It’s frozen prebattered was hard on the inside still white on the outside. The floors look like they hadn’t been swept in a week. I originally ordered a strawberry lemonade when it was brought to the table it tasted like alcohol was in it so I asked what’s in it was told it was just lemonade. Then when I got something else the waitress told me she was pretty sure the lemonade had fermented. How long has it been since the lemonade was cleaned!

Service was great as it should be. I tried her again, was there before and her food is still too dirty for my taste, like Bob Evan's cooking. It's a matter of taste, I don't like how they cook more or less than Bob Evans. Just like some people like Coke did not PepsiHowever, this time I ordered the Steak-Burger medium and I got a hockey puck on my plate, which means it was overcooked. Again a question of taste

Very pleasant place to eat, a variety of items to choose from. Staff is friendly,and their breakfast never fails. I personally like the country boy with steak. The shop inside is always pleasant. At each location I check to see what items they are selling, and see if relates to the area.

I do love Cracker Barrel and usually stop at one when I'm traveling. I live about three miles from one now and eat there from time to time. Dining in experience is okay, however if you're ordering through their app, good luck with that. I'd give it a negative star if I could
