Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

No argument with the food or the prices, but bless their hearts, they have some serious staffing issues at this branch. We were seated, I waited 11 minutes, (I checked the time) for someone to wait on us. After literally the THIRD table that came in after us got waited on, I had to channel my inner-Karen and get up, walk to the hostess stand, and demand service. That 's pitiful. When you go out to eat, it 's not just to get fed, you want a decent experience, even at a moderately priced place. Maybe at least not being entirely irritated by being ignored with zero service would be a nice start, but one this particular Cracker Barrel was not up to delivering on that date. Service always seems stretched thin here, and I get it that it 's hard to get people, but there 's usually a fair number of people on the floor. Not knowing who has the table is an issue with management and training I 'm afraid. Getting tea refills tends to be challenging too, although after having demanded service, service while not stellar, was acceptable. I can handle acceptable, it 's not Tony 's after all, but I 'm far less inclined to stop at this particular Cracker Barrel in the future.

I had a taste for Cracker Barrel sweet carrots so decided to visit today. I was shocked to see items were no longer on the menu. I ended up choosing the fried shrimp, and it had a light seasoned batter and delightful taste! Paul was my server he was friendly, attentive from start to finish! Something happened to me that I never experienced before while dining; a gentleman walks over and says, ma 'am my family and I would like to pay for your meal. We noticed you sitting alone and want to pay for your meal. It caught me off guard, I looked over at the wife and thanked her and him. I pay it forward all the time, but hadn 't been a recipient before. He returned a little while later and said here is your receipt. Enjoy the rest of your day. I always say: It 's a blessing to be a blessing! I pray that God will continue to bless that couple and their children

Since Kelly burned off the weekend and today was the last straw. I served a raw steak for my breakfast order, which was disgusting and I lost my appetite. I have some other complaints between my visits, but that was the last straw. I never make a complicated order, steak medium and eggs over medium. The eggs were undercooked today and the steak was rough. I'll take another trip to Kelly's in LaMarque until the Ligastadt is rebuilt. Morning breakfast

Cracker Barrel is an organized establishment. They train their employees well and it reflects through the amazing hospitality shown. The food is top notch, tastes just like home cooked meals. The gift shop is very clean, presentable and stocked with the cutest items. I appreciate the bathroom being kept clean especially since it is used by many travelers. Well done Cracker Barrel! Keep up the good work.
