This restaurant was a short walk from our hotel (the Carlton - another 5 star review) and, as many other reviewers say, looks nothing special from the outside which is in need of updating and a little TLC. Don't be put off though - the food is delicious! Service is quick and friendly - we were offered bread, water and the house cocktail as soon as we took our seats. The starters were light and tasty (smoked salmon and a rabbit terrine), the main courses superbly tasty (especially the pigs' cheeks which were the stand out main course of our whole trip) and the dessert (a beautiful pain perdu) was - to use a well deserved cliché - to die for. Prices are extremely reasonable. The atmosphere is relaxed and unfussy and a good portion of the clientele seemed to be regulars which is always a good sign. A great find.
Had to choose for just one night in Lyon, and we were very fortunate to have been advised about Entr'acte by the Hotel Carlton nearby. The waiter was very patient with my very bad french, and in fact knew english very well, so ordering was simple. All our food was excellent, including the entrecote (steak, Charlais), and, a bonus, they have plenty of reasonably priced wines to choose from, including some great half bottles. All in all, great place.
We were staying at the Carlton, were rather tired and wanted somewhere on our doorstep. This place delivered and then some. A lovely restaurant, small but beautifully decorated. The menu is amazing value and really delivers top class food, I would really recommend trying this place.
On our three day visit to Lyon we eat at Entr'acte twice. Our favourite restaurant on our short visit. The restaurant is non discript from outside. The food and service were excellent. Much better then order establishments that ranked much higher on FB!
