Cuppy's Best Soul Food

Wow. Tasty lunch! Today I learned I've been cooking catfish wrong my whole life. I did a search for a local coffee shop and Cuppy's was right around the corner. First thing they asked was my name so they knew who I was. That caught me because I'm usually only asked after ordering, and their asking told me they appreciated me. They have a pretty expansive menu from sandwiches to dinners and about 20 sides. Everything looked like I could order ala carte or as a meal with sides. I had the catfish, greens, mashed potatoes and cornbread. Although they have a drive-through, I got to dine-in (Covid be gone! . I loved this place and will be back at least one more time, ideally with some family or friends, before heading back to California.

If you have any family from the south then you know what authentic food taste like and this is definitely the place to find it! The greens taste like they were actually cooked with ham hocks. Macaroni and cheese has crispy edges and the fried chicken never disappoints either. It's my fav soul food joint in Ypsi.

Impressive vegan and vegetarian options--no pork products and all the main sides are vegetarian. Loved the vegan catfish dinner (first time trying vegan fish and it was right on! and the veggie hoagie was amazing. Friendly staff and great service!

A wonderful unique addition to Washtenaw Avenue. I've been there 3 times already and missed the other 2 times as they were exceptionally busy! Have savored their fried perch and catfish specialties and yummy vegetable sides

We ordered the vegan catfish, collard greens, and black eyed peas. It was delicious. I knew it was going to be good but Cuppy's knocked it out off the park!
