Recommended to us by the guys at the Mar Blava hotel where we were staying, we decided we 'd give it a try one evening as the place we 'd originally planned to go to was closed on a Monday. The place is tucked away down a back street about 5 mins from the 'arches ' just up from the cathedral and is family owned. It 's basically their former home in Ciutadella converted into a restaurant, and this includes a little courtyard out back for al fresco dining. When we arrived, they sadly only had inside tables left, but that I guess bodes well for the place 's popularity! We had cod crayfish croquettes for starters that were excellent. The missus had salmon salad, whilst I had beef entrecote. Both were fresh, very tasty and decent sized portions. Dessert was a chocolate crepe for me and tiramisu for her. Again, nice portions and fresh made. If you 're looking for a traditional tapas type place, this might not be for you as the selection on that side of things was a little lacking, but the menu was otherwise pretty varied and decently priced. Service was good, quick and came with a smile. It 's clearly a popular spot as during our meal, a number of people came in and were turned away as there was no space left. Two couples even parked at the bar to wait it out. Total for shared starter, 2 mains, 2 desserts, a beer, glass of rose and a sort drink was just under 60 euros. Decent. Worth a visit. I don 't think you 'll regret it.
