Da Guido Melbourne la Pasta

We always end up having dinner at Da Guido every time we are too lazy to hit the kitchen. Indeed, you need to book it before visit because the place is usually busy. This restaurant has become our 'second dining room' as the atmosphere is relaxed and the service is great. Most importantly, because they do adjustments to the foods we order according to our preference whenever possible. The foods are simple clean Italian dishes cooked in the open kitchen in the restaurant. The wine list is not massive, but this make it easy to make a choice. I don't think one should expect a fine dining here. It's not the idea of eating in Da Guido. Expect some clean nice Italian dishes, fine wines and great hosts with a very reasonable price.

I came for dinner last night with my girlfriend and we were both so impressed with the food and service. we both had the tagliatelle with rabbit... absolutely amazing!! and shared the tuna tartare and caponata! so delicious! It is our favorite restaurant in Melbourne. Everytime we come back the staff makes us feel welcome and home, and the service is so professional and attentive. we highly recommend this place to all our friends!!! well done guys

Had a beautiful lunch with friends. Excellent, attentive service and delicious food. Lovely decor featuring glass from Murano both on the table and in the decor. Fresh produce and house made pasta was a delight. A modern take on classic northern Italian cuisine.Definitely a cut above the run of the mill in Lygon Street.

My friend and I were in Lygon Street and decided to dine locally. Fortunately Da Guido could fit us in. We were delighted! The contemporary, minimalistic setting was impressive with touches such as Murano glass. Staff members offered good service and our pasta dishes and wine were delicious.

worlds best pasta ! everything about this place was amazing especially the pasta.. authentic Italian food !!! definitely ill be recommending this place and will diffidently be coming back with friends and family
