Wow! I cannot believe how amazing everything was. It was me and my partners first time tonight at Darrel’s and it has really left an amazing first impression. We came in on a Sunday night with 40min to close (we honestly thought they were open until 9pm) but they we’re so incredibly welcoming and hospitable regardless.We were seated and helped by Jacob who put in our drink orders and Holly was our server.Holly was amazing! She even brought us HOT bread for our table. I think we were supposed to get it when we first ordered our drinks but they didn’t have any? So she made sure that we got some. Again, it was close to closing time so that was very considerate of her to do. And really she didn’t even have to. I felt bad about our arrival time the whole time but everybody there made it very clear that it was OK.And the FOOD. Good God. I have never been anywhere that EVERYTHING was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious, but compliments to the the chef at Darrel’s because everything WAS .Even my appetizer of the flash fried calamari. Most places will over cook it and it’s chewy but it was not at all. Very delicate and tender. Simply amazing.My partner had lobster and filet. Again perfectly cooked. My wife attended this restaurant with some girlfriends and ordered the ribeye with their peppercorn sauce and brought me home some to try as she loved the sauce but was disgusted by the taste of the steak. I took one bite and that was enough, not only was the steak not cooked to her order but lacked seasoning not to mention the amount of gristle throughout the steak. Ribeyes are suppose to be fatty but not so chewy that your jaw hurts after one bite. This place definitely needs to take a look at where they get there meat from as well as how it's prepared.

Beer/cider prices are par. Caesar salad was very flavorful, if not photogenic. The cup of gumbo was well received. The calamari appetizer had many pieces of red and green bell pepper and it was covered in the same creamy creole sauce as the Red Snapper we ordered with the crab cake topper. Food was very tasty all around. Highly recommended if you have deep pockets.Kid-friendliness: There was a couple tables with small children.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp at the side door.

Foods Great! The waiter seemed new so a little slow on service. Looks like a coney inside so some updates to the ambiance couldn't hurt.

We only tried seafood. Got the Louisiana Bake, stuffed shrimp, salmon and crispy calamari. All dishes were delicious.
