It was my birthday and my hubby called to make sure we would have had a nice treatment such as a nice table for example. We arrived and no one came to welcome. We stood there in the garden area and after a bit of waiting the owner turned in our direction and pointed at whatever free tables were left. We set and had to wait a really long time to order as the owner was busy entertaining regular customers he actually didn't come to take the order but sent the Italian runner as I am Italian myself and we could have sorted it out anyway but this after a looooong wait. No attempt to make it up during our dinner he just did not care , we cheered my birthday and friendly the other guests did too. But we were still too much in a good mood to spoil that day, we still liked the place at that moment . I walked inside to check the atmosphere very nice and here I find the owner , I tell him we just moved to arlesheim and we would come often . And after this do you think the attitude changed ? No. The icing on the cake came when we received the bill and my husband was quite disappointed to notice they did not had the sensibility to offer my glass of prosecco something which is quite common here in Switzerland if someone is celebrating birthday especially if the restaurant knows about it!!! So we call the owner and very politely my husband tells him in Swiss German that it would had been nice to make such a gesture. The man who till that moment spoke Swiss German to anyone embarrassed told me he did not understand so I translated and he replied : ooooohhh if I would have to offer a glass of prosecco to everybody who celebrates his own birthday .... And did not finish the sentence either. We left the place with a bitter taste in our mouth indeed and never will be back again . They don't deserve new customers. Atmosphere : lovely Quality of Food : average Price : expensive for the quality.
What a nice place The service staff were pleasent, The head chef not so. After a small complaint about the vongole it felt like the head chef wanted to have a fight with my wife. Fortunately she doesn't understand german so it was just me that felt that from him. This made our meal very uncomfortable. Also, don't order the kalbsleber. Mostly undercooked This was our first time and i will not be returning What a shame
We were welcomed very nicely and got spontaneous a very nice table. The service is very professional and even if they were very busy, they managed to deliver a perfect service. The Menue is very straight forward on traditional pugliese kitchen but youbcan find some cross-over dishes on it as well. Food is actually delicious and the wines are outstanding.
We came here for lunch, and were very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The food was delicious, the waiter was friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Very authentic Italian food, fresh pasta and fresh ingredients in everything. Wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant too. Definitely worth a visit.
