"This place is fine but overrated. The chowmein was good but a bit stingy for $14.50 The won ton soup was tasteless and the wontons just average. Menu very limited. Service was good and no msg. Atmosphere dingy."

my husband worked downtown for many yrs. and he went there often. when retired he took me there for lunch. i am hooked. the vermicelli w/ shrimp is so good, i have a hard time ordering anything else. the steamed pork dumplings are soft and the pork is juicy and somewhat sweet. dine in and have a pot of chinese tea. the tables are always clean and the service friendly. a short table menu bridges any language gap. i shoud make a point of ordering a soup and what i think is called a donut, like a deep fried cruller to dip into it. if i could just resist the vermicelli!

I found this restaurant after looking on Tripadvisor for a nearby asian restaurant that I hadn't been to. I was intrigued by the great reviews of this hole in the wall type restaurant so I ventured over. I ordered the B Special (singapore style vermicelli with bbq pork and shrimp.) But the highlight of my lunch was the won ton soup! Hands down, it was the best I've ever had! It was a good sized bowl of soup jam packed with 10 - 12 pork and shrimp wontons in a broth seasoned with green onion and cilantro. I'm a huge fan of cilantro.

The Shanghai fried noodles are the best on this planet. Get them with a small side dish of hot sauce. Just writing this makes my mouth water. I have brought numerous friends and family members here over the years and they all agree with me.Once they let me watch the noodle maker prepare these. Noodle making is an art in China. I live in Ottawa now and have tried the Shanghai fried noodles in various restaurants and they don't even come close to the ones at the Double Greeting.

Nice little hole in the wall with delicious authentic cuisine. Very reasonably priced but only take CASH so don't forget to take $s with you. I nearly always go for the B special meal which is delicious stirfried noodles with shrimp and bbq pork. If you fancy extra spice they provide spicy chilli sauce to pour over. To back every two or three months to get my fix.
