Ed’s Easy Diner Watford

Went here on 21st October before the cinema with my partner. I’ve been to Ed’s multiple mainly the Brighton branch and have never had any problems with the brand. Unfortunately Watford was not as good as I had hoped. When seated they were unaware of my booking and when I told them we booked for 5pm, the woman who I assume is the manager just looked at me very confused. Every time I’ve been to Ed’s I have always had great service but I have to say here is not. I ordered Mozzarella dippers and I asked if I could swap out the BQQ sauce for sour cream, as I have an allergy to something in BBQ, she just said ‘no unless you want to pay for it’ I explained I cannot eat BBQ sauce and that when I have eaten at Ed’s before they have had no issues swapping it out for me and making sure things have no BBQ traces in them however she was certain there was no way she could switch them! I ended up saying don’t worry about any sauces with my meal as we were on a time limit. My partner ordered the spicy chicken wings, as we waited a while for our mains to be bought over we overheard the chef asking worrying questions like ‘what is a chicken burger with just lettuce’ and not knowing what it was. Our mains arrived before our starters lukewarm May I add. We said we ordered starters and the same manager just said ‘oh ok’ and took the starters from a heat lamp and just sort of half arsed put them on our table with our mains. My boyfriend didn’t get wings, he got chicken strips with no spice on them, and the ribs he ordered were half warmed as if they had been microwaved a couple of times but before we could even comment on it the manager had quickly gone back to her laptop on the side talking to a waitress leaving one member of staff to do everything in the restaurant from seating people to serving completely run off his head. We had no meal check backs and the manager just went home despite seeing our empty plates and us waiting to pay for the food. I’m extremely glad that I had my 2 f

The food was inedible absolutely disgusting. I was served a burger with salad if you can call it that. The salad was old and dry it definitely wasn’t fresh. My husband’s eggs was so over cooked and rubberised, unlike his hash browns which were completely under cooked and dripping in oil. The service was ridiculously slow and the staff looked like they didn’t want to be there.

I was served a burger with salat if you can call it that. the salate was old and dry, it was not fresh. the eggs of my man were so over boiled and gummed, in contrast to his hash-browns, which were completely boiled and dripping in oil. the service was ridiculously slow and the staff looked like they didn't want to be there.

We had dinner for birthday celebration and had 5 teenage boys in tow. The staff were absolutely brilliant in accommodating the boys, giving them their own space to enjoy their dinner. They were really attentive and just incredibly kind. Haven’t had this level of service in a very long time!

Food was cold, appeared to be microwave. Chips were soggy. Was very disappointed
