Immediately, I knew something was up when I asked (only for confirmation because the price was listed on the street menu) what the cost of the menu del dia was. The sign said 13 euros, but the waiter said 17. And I questioned him, and he tried to play it off. After that, he told me the options for the menu. He could see on our faces that we weren 't impressed, and suggested us splitting this fish dish. Sounded good, so I said yes. Now mind you this is all in Spanish, and I had already won round 1 having corrected the inflated price he quoted. However, I did not win the war. After telling me the dish was perfect for splitting, he confirmed 'dos raciones ' as he walked away. I thought, why would he say 2 rations, if we were splitting. When the food came it was an ENTIRE fish, that the waiter tediously served to both of us. The bill?...60 euros!! Why on Earth would I want a 60 euro meal if I was unwilling to pay 17 euros a person for a menu del dia??? He used Spanish against me. He tricked me, and he knew he won because I never saw him again. Needless to see that fish was delicious, but not worth 60 euros. I dont appreciate when people try to swindle good paying customers out of money. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
We were eating in the javita forest and I have to say that the food well and the treatment of the exquisite waiter, but what is not logical is that there is only one person attending everything, both the local and the terrace. We started the one and they gave us more of them with a wait between plate and considerable plate. the local needs at least a couple of people to properly attend to. to take care of those details.
We were at dinner the other day and I have to say that everything was very rich. The only glue is that we found it a bit expensive in terms of quality/cantity/price. friendly staff
