We are a huge fan of the Archibald location, so we decided to try the new location. We walked in and were very impressed by the cleanliness and great atmosphere. That was where it ended. My husband, myself, and my daughter were sat in a booth. There were about 8 other tables of people. We sat for 10 minutes without any acknowledgment. We were given chips and salsa by a waitress with RBF and thanked her with no response. But then we continued to sit. Nobody even took our drink order. They passed us several times and looked straight at us, but never any acknowledgment. I was very disappointed and we walked out without ever being acknowledged.
We love this place! I would give them 5 stars, however, they are very understaffed (much like everyone else these days) and their draft beer selection is very limited. The food we have tried is fantastic. The servers are very attentive and the fresh chips and homemade tortillas are killing it. Salsa is good but if you need more of a kick ask for the hot one and blend them together.
I recently placed a large order with a wonderful employee Havana. It ensured that the order was correct and ready for pickup at the specified time. The food was so delicious, the whole party enjoyed the Carnitas and Enchiladas order. The order came with the perfect amount of beans and rice. And you can never go wrong with the chips, guacamole and salsa. Thank you El Cerrito!
First time here for breakfast. Hubby got a cheese omelette with mole (he gets it where ever he can) and steak. He REALLY liked it. I got chilaquiles, didn’t love the red sauce, but I liked everything else. My girls got taquitos and quesadilla; we got 2 thumbs up from them both. Can’t wait until Sunday brunch is back so we can try that.
