El Pirata Of Mayfair

Cannot agree with the recent average reviews for this place. We have just visited for the first time and will be back. A lovely old style tapas bar in a great location on a Mayfair sidestreet. We had the sharing tapas which at £58 for 2 people with 9 dishes was great value especially considering the location. Wine also reasonably priced. Each dish was high quality and presented in stages without any rush between dishes. More than enough food on each dish and with a good variety. Service excellent prompt and unobtrusive. Highly recommended.

So, lunch here with a work colleague and friend! Service was good with timing to perfection. We had the chorizo, gambas al pil pil, chicken, egg fritata .... hit the spot, but it wasn't quite the taste of real Spanish tapas would probably give this a miss next time (given the extensive eateries in the area...

tapas is my ideal food. I am so indecision when it comes to ordering in restaurants – and I hate getting food jealous. have they ever gone to a restaurant, ordered their main course and someone else comes, that looks so much better so that they cry a little in their teller. No, I don't.

I personally liked it as much as everywhere, but the truth is that you go to london and look for Spanish restaurants is strange. I don't know, I recommend when they travel, dip into the kitchen of the hostland and find something new!

large small fund in mayfair, we chose the menu for lunch and loved the variety of dishes. great wine. all were delicious and fresh.
