Nice terrasse on the village main square, honest cuisine with reasonable price/quality ratio, friendly service. We have eaten there 4 times already and it remains a safe bet in Stans. I also stayed at the hotel. Sparse but spacious, clearly 3* amenities, clean and in good condition, good bedding for the price. The main issue comes from the church on the other side of the dorfplatz: bells ring every quarter of hour, and every hour, time is counted three times (12 rings at 4am), plus a major thing at 5am. Then transit traffic noise on the cobblestones takes over. Really not a quiet place to sleep. Breakfast buffet decent with quality food.

I was last weekend at my friend in the hotel engl, it was a very pleasant experience: comfortable and clean rooms, helpful and friendly staff, and we had luck finding a hotel parking for free (there are only a few but to the hotel should be other parking available). the location is fantastic: in the center of the beautiful city stans, the hotel is located in 5 minutes from the railway station, which is very well connected with luzern! also the breakfast was very good and the dinner was amazing. at the end we recommend this hotel!

the only part is the limited parking permit. hotel is beautiful, staff is friendly and ready to help, restaurant and breakfast are super.

Cordon Bleu was recommended and that’s what we had. They were excellent. Swiss prices
