This was the first time I visited Famous Daves. I was impressed by this West Des Moines location from the phone call when I actually picked up the order and finally tried the food. I was supported on Virginia's phone, which took my order very friendly and professionally to make sure everything was correct. When picking up my order the same person, Virginia, explained everything about the order so I was happy with everything before I left. This was one of the most accurate, polite and professional staff I've treated in a long time, especially from a restaurant! Anyway, when I came home to try the food, it was great!! Some of the best BBQ I've ever had!! Needless to say, I will return to this place in the future!! Thanks Famous Dave's and thanks Virginia!!
Fish strips and a super delicious baked potato with BBQ pulled chicken, bacon, sour cream and cheese. Don't forget the Coleslaw and Maisbrot! I repaired my car at Meineke, went outside and smells this amazing food, asking the nice lady in Meineke what that was and she directed me on you. I'll be back! Really amazing.
Ordering was excellent, server was friendly, order ready in very little time. Brisket was properly smoked and the part was right. Fish fingers and sides were perfect. Return to this place after an extended boycott due to a very bad meal / experience last year.
There are so many BBQ sites I think people forget about Famous Daves. Everything was delicious. Large fleshy ribs, moist bbq chicken, the best potato wedges. Try the peach bbler you can order as a supplement and it was great. Loves the sweet tea.
