Fat Sal's Cheesesteaks

Oh, man! I found out about this restaurant through the Knoxville subreddit, and boy, am I glad I checked it out. It's kind of hidden over on East Tennessee Ave. which is right off Oak Ridge Turnpike on the east end.I ordered the reasonably priced Italian sub and couldn't wait to get home and try it. I basically wolfed it down it was so good. The meats, vegetables, and condiments were so tasty, and the bread was delicious, crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. I loved the spicy giardiniera they added as well.Really, this Italian sub makes the chain restaurant sandwiches seem bland. I kind of want to go back tomorrow to try a different sandwich. Very impressed.

Food taste good but cheesesteaks are small for the price. No eat in. And woman taking your order makes you feel as if you have the plague. She takes your order from across the room and almost cringes as she hands you your food.

The original is the legit cheese steak I've enjoyed several times in Philadelphia. Knew when the roll was being sourced from a 120 y/o bakery in Philly, the sandwich was going to be the real deal.

This is a great place. The cheese steak was excellent. Also make sure you get the banana pudding before they run out.

Delicious and always on point. I call their sandwiches Hunger Busters.
