The Flaschen Hotel-Restaurant is located between Albinen and Leukerbad at an altitude of some 14 metres and right next to the base station of the skilift up to the Torrentalp. From its large terrace and dining room, one has magnificent views of the surrounding alps and down into the Rhone valley. We stopped by on a sunny but windy day in June and decided to have lunch inside. The decor of the dining room is fairly modern if not a bit chilly, but the food and service were quite good. We settled for the 2-course menu of the day, consisting of broccoli soup, as starter and rumpsteak with stir-fried potatoes and vegetables as main dish, at a price of CHF 22.50. Combined with the impressive alpine views well worth a visit.
Wir gingen am Weihnachtstag zum Mittagessen dorthin, nachdem wir mit der Seilbahn von der Torrent-Hochstation aus gefahren waren. Wir waren überrascht, die tolle Qualität des Essens zu sehen. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit und wir sahen, dass dieser Ort seinen Ruf für sein Essen verdient hat. Wir saßen draußen, da es sonnig und aufgrund des ungewöhnlichen Wetters nicht kalt war und die Aussicht wirklich atemberaubend war. Es gibt auch einen Essbereich im Innenbereich mit großen Glasfenstern, die eine atemberaubende Aussicht bieten.
Our bosses took us twice to there favourite restaurant. It was a bit of a drive but so worth it. De service was excellent, so was the atmosphere and the food was nicely presented. Our selfs would not go there because we are on a very tight budget but the prices where very good for the amount and quality you get. Definitely go there if you are in the area. And as for the kids. There is a small petting zoo and a play area to keep them entertained.
Dies ist das beste Restaurant zum Mittagessen an einem Skitag!!! Wunderschöne Aussicht und leckeres Essen. Das auf Stein gegrillte Steak ist wunderbar. Tolle Tarte Tatin und Milles Feuilles. Gute Lage für den Zugang zu allen Skipisten. Perfektes Restaurant für Familientreffen, besonders an einem schönen sonnigen Tag.
