This shop said they were hiring and during the job interview roped my brother into spending $100 on a multi-level marketing scheme, telling him to buy their products himself and sell them (to who??? . My brother had absolutely zero connections. He thought they had hired him this was the first step. This is part of a trend of MLMs opening smoothie storefronts as fronts to sell their products, health food supplements from sketchy company Herbalife. Herbalife has a LONG history of being a pyramid scheme, and this is their new tactic. I think it 's awesome that creative, sweet community members are making cool smoothies, and I 'm sure with kindness, but don 't fall prey to signing on for something more or taking nutrition advice from salespeople selling a product that has had countless lawsuits negative side effects such as liver issues, as well as a documentary about its predatory labor practices. What 's in Herbalife? I 've read heavy metals etc. These storefronts these Products are highly underregulated open across from gyms, on college campuses, etc, often hiding the names of the products they sell, what 's in them, waiting until you 're hooked or pressured to sign on. The person giving you nutrition advice may be just another person like her brother being roped in to selling. I feel bad writing this, but when a store is intentionally masking what they really are to sell a huge corporation that has hurt a lot of people financially some physically, I felt obligated. This is not a reflection of the hard workers community members, but please consider watching the EXPOSÉ documentary about Herbalife called Betting on Zero on Amazon/Netflix etc. Virtually impossible to make money selling Herbalife
