At the suggestion of a newly transplanted resident, we visited this interesting co-op of businesses. The coffee shop and winery were closed, but the converted garage was open. The space acts as an arcade, dining room, stage, and listening space for live music. The spray painted walls lend a gritty, sophomoric feel to the space that compliments the multicolored drop ceiling tiles. The space was clean and the staff were friendly and attentive.I did not order food, as i was late in arriving. The others in our party thought they had ordered a pizza. They were served a flatbread with canned sauce and a smattering of cheese and pepperoni. Unfortunately, it did not meet their expectations. In our party of five, two had wine, two had beer, and one had cider. The cider was reportedly 'very sweet '. The wheat beer I was promised was actually bitter and strongly flavored with hops. In researching Kölsch for this review, I 'm finding that the beer resembles its moniker. Now my reservation rests in the bartender 's description. The overreaching theme seems to be a lack of training for the staff to be able to effectively communicate and set the expectations for the clientele. I see a lot of potential in this collection of businesses that are deeply rooted in their community. We 're looking forward to an improved experience in future visits.
