In Bezug auf Qualität ist eines der besseren Orte für Fondue im Winter in Zürich. Wenn ganze Unternehmen anwesend sind, ist der Lärmpegel enorm. Die Atmosphäre ist gut gemacht, und der Kamin in der Mitte des "Zeltes" ist auch schön. Die Preise sind, wie üblich für Zürich, hoch. Im Vergleich zu den letzten Jahren ist der Service nicht mehr auf dem ansprechenden Niveau, das er einmal war, obwohl es Ausnahmen gibt. Die Toiletten sind auch nicht so toll. Was jedoch schön ist, ist die extra Garderobe, damit dein Mantel nicht nach Käse riecht. Der Außenbereich ist auch schön mit Feuerschalen und der hölzernen, überdachten, bunt beleuchteten Terrasse. Das Konzept von Frau Gerold in der warmen Jahreszeit ist einfach und effektiv: Selbstbedienung für Speisen und Getränke und Sitzgelegenheiten auf mehreren Ebenen. Die Gegend ist wunderschön gestaltet und es ist ihnen gelungen sicherzustellen, dass es auch nach Jahren noch "in" ist. Die Preise sind typisch für Zürich und das Essen ist eher einfach. Ein Ort zum sein, reden und genießen.

We ate fondue in the winter room. The taste and the ambience were really great. My girlfriend has a gluten intolerance and therefore can't eat the bread at fondue. We asked if there was gluten free bread as an alternative. Unfortunately this wasn't available, which wasn't a problem for us and we then asked if there was another alternative e.g. Potatoes are available for allergy sufferers. The waitress then rudely pointed out to us that we would have to pay an extra charge of 7.00 per portion for potatoes. We found this a bit incomprehensible, that you can't be a little friendlier towards allergy sufferers, and we also found an additional charge of 7.00 totally exaggerated. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the entire stay. The concept is really great, but the implementation still needs some work.

Really nice place to go in both winter and summer. You can spend in summer just time outdoors with friends (there are areas covered in case it rains. The environment changes in winter and there is a cozy wooden restaurant to have a fondue. Drinks are around 7-9 CHF and the food restaurant would be around 30 CHF per person. Important: in winter, the outdoor area is opened only from Thursday to Sunday
