We went to the Wednesday evening fondue and we were quite disappointed. Firstly when we arrived, we were shown to our table and we were not sure what the procedure was. There was a plate of raw meat and several dips and salads. It took a while before our drinks order was taken (which is unusual in Austria). We weren't sure whether to start cooking or not. Some time later a soup arrived which was very nice. We all decided that it was the lack of atmosphere that was the main issue. There was a feeling of lack of organisation. Our fondue never reached a hot enough temperature to fry an onion ring, despite us asking for assistance. There was no access to the ski slopes as all of the doors were locked so you couldn't go out into the darkness and look at the stars. I would not recommend this to anyone and would suggest you spend your 39 Euros in one of the atmospheric establishments down in the village.
The café was kind of a day saviour as the weather was extremely bad so at least we had a place to sit and take a snack. Their cakes were really nice and so was the coffee. I actually liked their service too. I cannot comment much on the scenery as the bad weather distorted all the scenery. In the very least the café saved some of the spoiled day.
We're here on our last snowboard. For some soup/beer immersed. The view was breathtaking and the layout was modern. We didn't expect it to be so nice. The soup bowls were twice as large as in other slope restaurants. We'd be back here, but we'd have our last day. Certainty with visit! Service super.
Visited last Summer, and again this week, served by the same lady- had the same dishes although sat inside this time! Lovely spacious place with amazing views, summer or winter. Worth a visit to rub those sore ski feet and enjoy a schnapps and raclette.
