By the grace of God.. To be honest, you would expect with a name like Fressers in such a Jewish populated area, that the food here would be kosher. Unfortunately this is not the case... It is so easy nowadays to get a kosher certification and the owners will have the merit of causing more Jews to eat more kosher food which means to follow, for at least one more meal, the laws that God Almighty has given them, and thereby bring Moshiach and deliverance to the world immediately. So it's even more surprising and honestly heartbreaking for me. I'm still giving five stars because I hope and pray that very very soon they will have a kosher certificate hanging proudly on the wall. Which they can proudly present to Moshiach speedily in our days!
The staff are super friendly, catching an employee on a bad day for brunch, where they got out (assuming they broke out), but the rest of the staff is noticeably friendly despite this small disturbance. What this place apart but is the great French toast and breakfast options! I have the breakfast Monte Cristo, which was a melt in your mouth French toast breakfast sandwich (top quality French toast bread used)! A quick note to this place is that it is set up as Deli, so it is a little different than a typical dedicated breakfast joint. Sitting is cozy to read with books and newspapers. This place is a hidden gem and definitely recommended when you are in the area!
This place is amazing. The sandwiches are gigantic, filled with high quality meat/cheese, but somehow easy to eat (partly by the high quality bread they use). Waitstaff is incredibly friendly, all workers ribbing one another / the regular (they had a series of regular). Will DEFINITELY stop next time I'm in the area, or maybe the trip from Boston down, just for a sandwich. They also have Dirty Chips.
The #19 is pastrami and corn beef prepared for perfection on a flat grill. (Disclaimer of Pastrami is not the same style as Katz). However, the way it was prepared really creates a balanced taste or enjoy a touch of sweetness. Probably one of the best I already had. So early, so check the time, but worth the visit. Life is short! F... it up! Family, Flavor, Friends
