This was the worst meal that we have had in long and many 's a day. We hadn 't eaten here for a few years and had decided to revisit on the strength of recommendations and decent reviews. How disappointed we were. The writing was on the wall when we were presented with the slightly expanded bistro menus (i.e. bar snacks) as opposed to the a la carte. After all it was Easter Monday and who could possibly want to go out for a decent dinner on Easter Monday? To describe the food as bland and virtually tasteless would be an understatement. My wife 's beef medallions were two lumps of leathery beef whilst my sirloin steak tasted as if it had been injected with water. Both were served on a bed of salad identical to the salads served with our starters. The french fries were pale and insipid they tasted as if they had arrived on the plate straight from the freezer via the microwave. The so called 'champ ' was a plate of mushy potatoes with a sliver of spring onion disgusting. We complained and were told that our views would be passed to the chef needless to say the chef never made an appearance he was probably busy defrosting a Birds Eye hamburger for the next mug. We paid and left vowing never to return. I reckon that the meals served in soup kitchens are better than those served in Armagh City Hotel. Avoid!
Two of us had steak, garlics, onion rings pepper sauce I can tell you it was gorgeous!! Two others had Lasagne, chunky. homemade chips a beautiful garnish.....devoured!!!! With great service friendly staff, it definitely did not disappoint!! Dessert was Pavlova....m m mmmmmmmmm!! :P Heavenly!! Prices were so reasonable!! Well done all involved!!!
Food was average, staff very polite but lacking a little on speed, attention to service etc pleasant enough surroundings.
