Went there for a nice weekend. The suite we had was very specious and nicely decorated. Unfortunately that's where the compliments end. No parking in front of the hotel (you need to park your car elsewhere and walk up the hill for 10min), our minibar had 1 bottle of water in it and when we wanted to order some wine (at around midnight) to our room the guy just said that the bar was closed so no wine for us. Other than that, after breakfast we hung the "please clean room" tag outside, but even after 5h (and the next door room was already done) our room was still not done. Also the food was not nice at all for that price. Pasta was not freshly done and Cordon Bleu not nice at all. Shame... Therefore we checked out, signed & left. Really a pity considering the view is absolutely amazing.
We had dinner at the Frutt Lodge and enjoyed a lot the beautiful interior. Really perfect! For my personal taste there were too many waiters running around which gives a bit of a hasty feeling and we didn't always know who was 'ours'... Very friendly most of them, but less would be more, in my opinion. The food (cordon bleu) was okay but not fantastic (which would have been appropriate considering the price). Fortunately the dessert was just wonderful! Beautifully presented on a lime stone and great in taste and structure. I can highly recommend to try one.
On a weekend hike we stopped by the Frutt restaurant for lunch. Service was friendly and helpful. The food is excellent, though expect typical Swiss prices.We had the Fitness Teller, large salad, with rasberry dressing and pan fried chicken - delicious! Our son had home made fish finger, which he really enjoyed. Highly recommended
We stayed at Frutt family lodge and only dined at Frutt lodge as the two hotels are connected by an underground tunnel. The restaurant and the food are great but what surprised me was the staff who was really friendly funny but polite. The terrace has a great lake view, I totally recommend it.
