At 11am, the lunch take-out crowd, bento boxes in hand, await at the till. The display cases are brim full with sushi, rolls, bentos, all of which will disappear by noon to be replaced by yet more and more.Clearly, this is THE place for Japanese takeout- way better price/quality than T&T's. People often forget it is a full service store-selling all things Japanese, but are to be forgiven. Try the kamaboko.The average time spent in-store is about like what one spends at a website- just enough to get what you want. Though a few do slurp their lunches at a small seating area. This is a better habit than Starbucks, for about the same $5 price point.
Busy corner with limited parking but it's worth the hassle given the variety of take-away options in four large coolers. Come around 11am for the full selection...and pick up a carry basket at the door because the prices are so good that you will want to buy it all! Fresh, plump California rolls for 2.95 - who can beat that? I mostly go in for the bento boxes and sushi options but occasionally grab other foods in the grocery section. They have a lot of Japanese foods and packaged things we consider treats such as green tea Kit Kat bars. Definitely a place to go.

This is a small store but has the essentials and makes a large variety of take out food. We found out they supply take out food for the Fujiya store on Pender downtown. We went to the downtown store to find it sold out and they said to try the one on Clark. The quality is very high and at a cheap price. We bought enough for several meals.
