I was impressed about how much this restaurant had changed in the past years. With nice little things created and bedded into beautifully arranged furniture. Felt like arriving in a castle and awaited by the kings servants. My brother and I were seated in a nice little corner with a view directly to the buffet with all its exquisite treats. There was even a cook offering handmade desserts which he’d prepare right in front of you. Everything looked and tasted fabulous and the waiters were all courteous and helpful in many ways but one! I was shocked and irritated by the way that one waiter treated me. It surprised me to be confronted with unkindness and arrogance of this man. It just didn’t fit to the upscale ambience that they want to be. Just as an example when I asked for a Pepsi, I was told by that unfriendly waiter, I should go to Burger King for Pepsi, as they only serve Cola. With these words he’d storm off and didn’t care for my matters. Thinking why would this waiter be so unfriendly, it occurred to me, he had an Indian background. And I am an Asian woman, would that be a reason to encounter me with discrimination? Then this is how I felt. Nevertheless, I guess if you are a male western person, you’ll be treated nicely. I found the personal handling questionable in such a beautiful nice restaurant with all its glamour and luxury. Tasteful but very expensive food and bad treatment from one misogynist person. To me, the meals were too expensive, for what I’ve gotten. To bad for all the other employees who were awesome, then one drop of oil, will spoil the rest of the water. If the restaurant hires people like that waiter, the prices should drop and be adjusted to the waiters attitude: cheap!
I saw the restaurant in a swiss tv show and I was impressed to see the rich decoration at that place. So I decided to celebrate there my 50th birthday. The weather was beautiful and we had the chance to sit in the wonderful garden (12.9. The waiter was a great guy, very competent and friendly. He proposed a bottle of LOUIS ROEDERER for a good price and we love to start the evening with a great glass of champagne. The advantage of this very rich decorated place is, that you have the choice of a fantastic buffet (warm/cold and a great dessert buffet with live entertainment. A place to discover! Also nice to have a lot of parking space just in front of the restaurant. The food was very good and they offered me a cake for my birthday thank you very much to the waiter that night and also to the chef and the management team of Mr. Renato Würgler. Great place and we will come back!
Not a person would usually dine at fancy restaurants so often, whilst admiring the surrounded area I was intrigued to get inside to see what's on the menu and a moment which I would never regret.A fine restaurant with delicious food with an amazing ambiance would entice you to just stay there.Staff attitude is very positive and speaks English which was important to me and the place is spotlessly tidy (This was important to me as a hotelier myself everything starts with its cleanliness). Service is commendable and the staff makes you to go back again.The steak was mouth watering and would definitely recommend this place for a fine dine.
After the new owner has taken over the Restaurant,they kept the same standard as before. I would say much better.. you have a different possibility you can take only main dish-course or three full courses including buffet and dessert, cost round about 85.00 per person without drinks,.. plenty of items you can choose and eat as much as you can to fill your belly... meals are the best whatever they offer, they won't disappoint you.. Resservation is recommended all in all, nothing to complain about.
