One of a few restaurants open on Monday. Make sure you have reservation as they seem to be very busy. I went on Monday just before 6 pm (18.00) and got lucky to get a table (I forgot to make a reservation), they turned down a few parties coming about 15-20 min later and not having reservation. The service is very attentive, despite them being very busy, they kept very good service going on. A lot a choices, steaks on hot stone looked very appealing. I went with Veal Zurich style and home made roesti. Paired with Swiss Blauburgunder. The wine could have been a bit bolder for my meal, but still decent match. For dessert I got Apfelkuchlein with vanilla ice cream. Food was delicious, prices are decent for Switzerland. I highly recommend. I will for sure come back during my next trip to Baden. BTW they also serve some a bit exotic meats as horse, ostrich, etc.
This place is great! In my opinion this is the best in Baden. Also open on Monday. The special plate, which is 4 types of stone cooked meat (horse, pork, 2 cuts of beef), is the best I tried. Only issue is the language: very few people from the staff speak English, but can be managed through Google translator! Dessert choice may be limited (mostly ice creams). Anyway, that's my favourite, look foward to come back!
We were positively surprised by our visit. We have passed the restaurant multiple times but we did not expect to find such a well run restaurant at that location. Since the TripAdvisor rating was very good, we thought we could give it a try and we were not disappointed. The food is really good (hot stone), the atmosphere nice and the service friendly. We will definitely come back.
Young but very skilled Chef, good concept, very nice price/performance ratio! It's worth to go there for a biz lunch with customers and/or in the evening with friends. Challenge the chef with special orders (e.g. fondue in a small bread bowl as appetizer).
