The quality of the cuisine in this restaurant is surprisingly high for an unpretentious place in an out-of-the-way village. The menu is large and varied. They do the Austrian classics (Fleischknödelsuppe, Wildgulasch, Forelle, etc.) extremely well, but the menu goes well beyond those, to include, for example, an appetizer with fish tartar and main dishes with various kinds of risotto. I ate here four times in the course of a week-long conference in Kirchberg and was delighted with everything I had. The service was once a little prickly but only perhaps because we were still eating at 2:30 in the afternoon and they were getting hungry themselves. It would be worth a visit to Kirchberg just to eat here.

Unpretentious but high quality food. My wife's trout 2 ways (tartare and smoked) with chanterelle mushrooms was faultless.Mains were also excellent (Chard dumplings with wild mushrooms and Parmesan sauce for my wife, venison ragu with dumplings and cranberry for me).Reasonably priced. Friendly welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended

Großartige Wildgerichte, das Ofenbratl ist einfach genial, aber nicht nur dieses, auch alle anderen Gerichte sind hervorragend, find auch super, dass regionale Produkte verwendet werden. ????????????
